The fastest airport to fly from isn't the closest one on the map — it's the one whose drive lines up with the time you actually need to leave. Here's the working comparison Koch Limo chauffeurs make every day.

Newark (EWR) — best for: North Jersey & Manhattan business travelers

Three terminals, United hub, full international service. Quick from North Jersey (20–30 min from Bergen County). From Manhattan, count on 30–45 min off-peak but easily an hour during evening rush. Best parking and shortest TSA in our experience.

JFK — best for: International flights, Long Island, Brooklyn

The international gateway. Six terminals, every major airline. From Manhattan it's a 45–70 min run — longer than people remember. Best for Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island residents. Avoid Van Wyck during weekday afternoons.

LaGuardia (LGA) — best for: Quick Manhattan domestic runs

The newly-rebuilt Terminal B is excellent. Closest major airport to Midtown — 20–35 min off-peak. Domestic-heavy schedule, no real international hub. For a quick domestic round-trip from Manhattan, LGA is hard to beat.

Teterboro (TEB) — best for: Private jet travelers

Private aviation only. Four FBOs (Jet Aviation, Meridian, Signature, Atlantic). 20–35 min from Manhattan, 10–20 min from Bergen County. No TSA, no terminals, no waits — you walk from car to plane.

The honest answer

If you live in North Jersey, EWR almost always wins. If you live in Brooklyn or Queens, JFK. If you live in Midtown and you're flying domestic, LGA. If you're flying private, TEB. We dispatch to all four 24/7 — call (201) 552-8547 for a flat-rate quote.
